Thanks Cherilyn, never thought of Henrietta but that makes more sense. Had a look on the UK 1841 and also IGI and found no link between a Henrietta/Hetta Montague and Franklin but shall continue looking.

I reckon Hetta is short for Henrietta...maybe try again with that name. His birth is too early for reg unfortunately...let me know how you go.

I wonder if not too cheeky, can you see if you can find anything on Thomas' parents, Hetta (Esther?) Montague and Edward Franklin.. I checked IGI and couldnt find anything.

Hi All

I have Thomas Montague FRANKLIN born c1824, died after 1914. I have him on the 1914 Electoral Role living in Minyip. I wonder if someone can find his death record and parents names please. He married Ann Lawford (formerly Thompson) who died in 1877.
