at the end of a birth under notes what does P B mean ???

its reads across name surname parents then where living occupation then notes and thats wheres pb is

Is this a transcribed baptism entry?

If so PB would be private baptism.

Update.....So it does look like a baptism transcription.

Oh, I see now Chris. Yes it looks like a record of a baptism and it does mean private baptism. Perhaps the child was ill and had to be baptised quickly at home in case he or she wasn't going to make it.
