I have found 2 entries on passenger lists -

Person: Mr Walter James ROBERTS
Date of departure: 23 August 1923
Port of departure: Liverpool
Destination port: New York
Destination country: USA
Ship: CELTIC
Age: 55
Occupation: Agent
Address: c/o White Star Line, London.

Person: Walter ROBERTS
Date of departure: 31 July 1930
Port of departure: Liverpool
Destination port: New York
Destination country: USA
Ship: BRITANNIC
Age: 34
Occupation: Manager
Address: c/o White Star Line, Liverpool.

Not sure if these are yours, but searched passenger lists from 1915 to 1935 and these were the only two who could possibly meet your home address and ports.
