Nanny is another use name for Ann. Maybe her family wanted to call her Annie, and to the Church record clerk it sounded like Nanny. I found one of my ancestors who was called Ann but recorded in the church registers as Nanny. The IGI site is:-

Sorry what is igi not very good at all this and was this ( Nanny ) her name or what she did for a living dont laugh i can not help it if i am thick

Hello Alyson,

The following on the IGI site states.

Nanny Swaisland, baptised on 23rd July 1797 in Kent. Mother Margaret and father John.

Hi could anyone tell me how i could find out if Ann Swaislands (1797)parents were John & Margaret . She was born in WROTHAM KENT she married Samuel Broad on the 13th dec 1817 in kent .Any help would be great
