Hi..wonder if anyone can find Adam Frier in 1851.

In 1841 he is aged 40, living in Edinburgh, St Cuthberts (blacksmith) with Jess his wife and 3 sons, George, Robert and John.

He died in Galashiels in 1876 aged 85.

any help with 1851 and beyond would be greatly appreciated, as I've scoured Ancestry and can't find him or his wife anywhere

Cynthia........did you have no luck searching on the three sons either? What were their dates if birth, and do you have a DOB for Jess?

Hi sorry had to leave computer...Jess was born c 1800, Sons, George and John were 15 in 1841..so could be 1820's sometime and Robert was 20 and a painter, the other 2 were apprentice blacksmith. Robert died in 1856 and mentions parents but doesn't say deceased.
Many thanks.
PS sorry Julie..didn't mean to take the Mick,

Hi Cynthia,

Where do these people go to! weird! I did find robert and his family on the 1851 still in St Cuthberts.

I then looked for his widow on the 1861and found her with the family again in Edinburgh. If you would like the details you can e-mail me at [email protected]
