That looks like the one.

It was a lot longer coming than I expected. Frances was 43 years old then. I expect is was a bit of a surprise for her as well.

New Alresford is the correct location.

The marriages are more advanced than the births on freeBMD. I was hoping that someone might have access to Ancestry records or Findmypast which might have John's birth listed.

Hi

She had two children by 2 partners in spouseless relationships and then married Martyn Lewlis Curtis in 1925 in Winchester.

A grandson called John Curtis is mentioned in a will drawn up in 1943 by France's mother..

I assume it is Martyn's and Frances's son.

Hi Tracy

I don't think freeBMD is fully complete up to 1928.

In fact a lot of 1921-1928 is missing and is currently being transcribed.

His mother, Frances, was 38 when she got married, so she must have given birth shortly after 1925, which is when they married.

I'm looking for the birth of John Curtis in the Winchester registration district around 1925.

Mother's maiden name is Stoneadge.
