England to North America - Need Help

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me.

I have a relative that emigrated from England to Canada or the U.S. She could have been single or married before she went. But chances are she was married as I have searched and searched for her in passenger lists and I've been unable to find her. (Also no luck so far with finding a marriage and subsequent emigration record either).

These are her details:

Annie Elizabeth Young, b. 1888, Middlesbrough, England. Parents: Edward Henry Young and Annie (Thomas) Young

In the 1901 Census she is living with her family in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. The family all stayed in that area in general.

I have tried many ways to find her in the U.S. or Canada or on passenger lists, but no luck so far.

I have looked in the 1911 Census in Canada and she is not listed under her maiden name Young.

Her sister immigrated to the U.S. to Massachusetts in 1920. So that would have been a possible destination for her, but not sure.

I do know she visited her family in Middlesbrough, England in the 1940's and at that time she was living in Canada.

Anything anyone might be able to suggest to find her I'd really appreciate.

Thank you so much,

Mary
