This is how it works....

When you find the birth reg (as you already have)
You then have to buy the birth cert quoting the correct info...ie: 1904.
Mussell Leonard Arthur Weymouth 5a 280

Heres how...

If you want to buy a BMD cert, here
is the addy where you can buy it online..

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

(tip)Never pay more than £7
(another tip) for a marriage, you only need
put one partners name when ordering.

PS..this hobby aint cheap!

In that case, you will have to wait for 1911 census.............

Gary

there is no other way to find out the mother's maiden name than by buying the certificate ......................... that information is not available on the internet.

The census does not tell you the mother's maiden name, and your guy cannot be found on a census until the 1911 census is released in early 2012

So, you will have to do what the rest of us do

prioritize which are the most important certificates, and then buy them as and when funds allow.

Gary.
The mothers maiden name was only added from sept qt 1911. All before that you have to buy the cert or if you are in the area look for baptism records at possible local library or church.

This isnt a cheap hobby. As was said you prioritise and buys the most important to get you back to the 1901 census
