On 1881 Devon Census Elizabeth Parnacott is listed as Elizth.J. Parnacott, 25years, born 1856 Monkleigh, Devon, England. She is a box maker.

I looked at the image ............. it certainly isn't R, it looks very much like the J in mary's name, but to make life difficult the enurmerator wrote J in a middle name slightly differently from the J of a christian name!
