Hi maria..

If the 1901 census gives Beatrice bn in Essex/then you can safetly say they are one of the same family,,,,Joseph maybe got chance of work with better wages,,,then after so many years went back to roots,,,,,

Ethel was only 17ish on mariage and would probally be in live- in service.

....so Joseph and his family could have moved just proir to 1901,,or even after 1891.........

Hi Kay,

I'm really confused now as I found Joseph, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Joseph jnr and grandchild Ethel on the 1901 census living in Cadney Cum Howsham. I wonder if they moved to West Ham and then moved back to Lincolnshire, answering my question about William & Ethel's daughter.

Thanks for your help.

The family were living in West Ham in 1891...12 Eastern Road, West Ham,.

father---Joseph,age 33,Lab in Gas Works,,bn North Kelsey,(Humberside.).........
mother Elizabeth,,,age 38,,bn Waddington,
Maud,G, age 12,bn Lincolnshire
Anne age 10,bn Lincolnshire
Beatrice ,age 6,bn Stamford-le Hope Essex,,***
Joseph P age given as 6 and half ?bn Lincolnshire/

Ethel Wrench,,,1883 ,7a.706,Reg -Glanford G,,,,,,,,,which is Humberside...

So it seems the family migrated South, prior to 1891..........

Hi Dorsetbaby

No wonder I couldn't get very far, I would never have thought 'Guy' could be 'Quy'. Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I am trying to find any info on William and Ethel and their child/children. They both came from Lincolnshire, I know they had a daughter c1901 also called Ethel, and she lived with Ethel's parents (Joseph & Elizabeth Wrench) in Lincolnshire. I don't know why William & Ethel moved to Barking without their daughter. Ethel had siblings called Maud, Anne, Beatrice and Joseph.

I have tried looking at different census, but cannot find them. Any info is greatly appreciated.
