I am searching for the records of my grandfather, William Roe
Corps - Rifle Brigade
Reg - 333
I know he was wounded & died from those wounds in 1921.
What I am trying to find out is where he was wounded & when.
If somebody could help me I would be very grateful.

Hi Julia,
His full name was Charles William Roe, but he hated the name of Charles so joined up in the name of William.
He was born in Norwich in 1886.

Thanks, Janice.

Hi Sick Parrot,
I have got his medal card but not his battalion.
Is MIC a paying site.
My cousin has his medals & on the back it just says - regiment 3/rifle brigade, & his service number 333
Not sure where I go from here.
I'm afraid a trip to Kew is out of the question, so maybe as you say patience is the only way.

Thanks for your help!
Janice
