Try reading the 'Irish Roots' information on the GR Homepage (on the right, under 'Web chat'). There are also other threads to do with Irish research on the GR boards to look at, all hopefully with useful hints. |

Helen is correct. From 1801 until 1922, it was the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland so there would be no more record of an Irish person going to England than there would have been of an English person going to Wales or Scotland. |
