Charles E. Gray, age 60
March qtr. 1959, Scunthorpe, 3b, 513.

I've checked 1956 and 1958 and nothing there either.

Thanks for trying for me. As you say I will have to contact Scunthorpe. Maybe I have been given the wrong year. The newspaper article doesn't give the year on it.

There is definitely no entry in March qtr. of 1957 on Ancestry. You may have to get in touch with the register office in Scunthorpe in case the entry didn't make it to the GRO.

I've looked under the spelling GrEy too and nothing there.

The 3 that I can see are much older, in their 70's and 80's.

I have an orbituary from the local paper. He was living in Scunthorpe, lincs when he died This was written on Marcch 20th which I guess was the day or day after his funeral.

He was born in 1898 so he would have been about 60yrs.

Are you sure the death was in Lincolnshire?

If you have the date right then there are two deaths for a Charles E. Gray in the March qtr. of 1957 - one in Birmingham and one in Worthing.

Please can someone find the GRO ref number I need to order this death cert from GRO. His name is Charles Edward GRay and he died Mar 1957 in Lincolnshire.
