Hi.
Two reqests please.

1. 1891 census. Aldershot, Hants. . Occupation required for Ellen Matthews b.1869 Headley, Hampshire. Shown on census as sister in the Jaye household.

2. 1901 census. probably Aldershot. Henry Johns. He was shown as Bootmaker (Journeyman) on his daughters birth cert' in 1911. Born about 1875. Nothing else known.

Dud do you have Henry John's marriage cert or are you just guessing his age?

Hi. Bit of a guess really. I was assuming his age would be about the same as his 'wife'. Dud.

Ellen Matthew's was a dressmaker

Dud he could be 40 years older than her!!!!!!!!

I have no other info regarding this Henry.
All I know is that he was living at Perowne Street Aldershot in 1911 . Dud,

I can't see a Henry living in Aldershot in 1901. If he married, I'd suggest you get the cert

I've got one like this & I'm going to have to wait until 1911; no my worse it's a woman & I don't have an occupation.

You have 2 possiblities here

a) you can trawl through every Henry John on either 1891 or 1901 & look for a shoemaker

b) you have an address for 1911, you could request a copy of the 1911 census for that address & hope he was living there.
