Please need help Im looking for info on my grandparents, i'm finding it very hard as my nan who is still alive will not help me and this side of my family have shut all dooors on me when i ask about this side of the family.My grandparents had four children My father David John MacDonald 1945, Adiren Roger macdonald 1947 Sandra Macdonald 1949 and Ian Douglas 1951 if any one could find anything on my grandparent parents i would be grateful in fact any info on them would help me dearly i know they were all born around Baslidon area in Essex.
Please could anyone help im stuck and this is the side of the family im doing it would love to finish it and put all my finding in a book of my children.

he had 7 sliblings as far as i know and he had sisters flora and grace most of hes bother died in the world war 2 that he told me before he died

As your nan is reluctant to share info with you then she must feel her private business is hers.

As she is still alive you must be careful what you post on open forums. have looked for the marriage and will pm you with reusult of search

You really need to buy the birth cert for your grandfather. It will have the full names of his parents, and enable you to look for their marriage knowing it will be the right one.
