My 2 gt, gt, uncles were block makers and mariners who came from the Toxteth area of Liverpool.

There is absolutely no sign of them in any census' after 1851.
One married in 1858 the other in 1860.

I have no proof they went to/or were lost at sea.

I have no evidence that they had families (children), or died..........when or how.

They are my major brick wall........and although I have had some very welcome and helpful assistance in the past, which filled in some of the blanks..........I am still no further along in tracing/and discovering what happened to them and their wives.

Is there any kind soul out there who would be willing to devote some time to this for me............I would be willing to pay for a reasonably priced researcher.

Thakyou for reading this thread.

Thanks Margaret................I wish you lots of luck with this one!

Jonathan Chandler born Liverpool 1834 Christened at St Peter

Charles Chandler born Liverpool 1837 Christened St Peter.

Jonathan married Elizabeth Mercer in 1858

Charles married Jane Davies in 1860.

As far as I am aware both wives came from the Liverpool area. And Jane's father was a Master Mariner.

They trained as Block makers and on their marriage certs, they stated their trades as Mariners.

Their last known address was 50 Jordan st.

Their mother Martha died in 1851 shortly after the census for that year was taken.

I have found what may be a possible second marriage for their father but have not persued this further at present.

These 2 brothers are the brothers of my great grandmother but, there is no family history surrounding them to relate to.

If you need any more details or if I may have forgotten anything important, please let me know.

Thanks again.

Well! I see your problem, Jen. I hate to admit defeat but I think the brothers just dropped off the face of the earth. I've checked Canada and America, can't find them there. I don't have any knowledge of Australian research, so that's a possibility.
There is a death of a Charles in Liverpool in 1863 but no age given.
Well, you wished me luck but it didn't help me!

Never mind Margaret, I wasn't really holding out any hope.
They certainly don't want to be found do they lol?

I do appreciate you looking for me though.
