Is anyone in the Bradford area?

My grandfather, as listed on my father's birth certificate, Horton, 1931, was Arthur Alexander Greenwood. As I don't know his age, and there are thousands of Arthur Greenwoods in Yorkshire, I think I need to be able to search listings with full names, but when I emailed the Bradford Library, they said the GRO index they have there is the same as the one I can search on-line.

Can anyone tell me if I went to Bradford what I might look for?

What was your grandmother called?

If you can find their marriage certificate it should give Arthur's father's name which will help in finding the right Arthur.

Don't know if it's the right one without knowing your grandmother's name but there is this marriage in Halifax:-

Name: Arthur A Greenwood
Year of Registration: 1913
Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep
Spouse's Surname: Kershaw
District: Halifax
County: Yorkshire - West Riding, West Yorkshire
Volume: 9a
Page: 988

The spouse is called Lillian Kershaw.
