WOW - thanks you everyone - briliant response. Apologies for my delay - I have been computer-less for the last few days!!! There si some very interesting info there that I will be following up.


To Brian and Anne of Green Gables - you both make reference to Acton Middlesaex - I grew up in the area and knew there was another Ware family locally but was alway told that we were not related...hmmm...methinks they could have been!! lol

To Margaret Manson

Mine, are the Portsea mob! I descend from William George Ware & Mary Jane Saulter/Sawlter definitely.
I have William Ware & Mary Loft as Wm George Ware parents - but seeing the connections below I am now not so sure!!!

Hi Viv.
William Ware (Wear) married Mary Ann Loft 2nd October 1826 at Alverstoke. I think he was born in Exeter Devon 1806, he was living with his son Moses and his wife, according to the 1881 census, at Acton Middlesex England, at the age of 75.

Know my rellies came from Portsea in Hampshire - earliest being William Ware b 1806 (he maried Mary Loft) but where did they originate? ANyone have the same old link that may know where the Ware's originated. Spelling did change from WEAR.
