Clive....The Sts.Peter and Paul Records... are some of the data I have collected over the years...
John is more than welcome to anything that may be of value.. however they do not give anything more than basic info....
I still cannot locate John J.and Hannah's marriage although there are plenty listed on the Family Search Pilot Site ...
"Arthur" is possibly another key to finding the earlier family...a "rare" Christian name to say the least in the O'Brien's.....must go back generations...

Thanks Erin.. And good morning !! I am talking to John on Skype. He is very pleased with the progress. Could I ask you where you have found the St Peter and Paul information? I only found an extract online...

Have a good day !!

Regards,
Clive and John

Good Morning Clive....

The records from Sts.Peter and Paul may be the key to what your friend is looking for...interestingly they also show the O'Briens marrying into the Hennessey's back in the 1700s....
I would suggest that Julia (1881 Census) listed as aged 30 servant. is the sister of John Joseph..

Thanks everyone for your prompt replies. I appreciate it. I have found out more since I posted.

Thanks.. Polly... I think John Joseph O'Brien (senior) left Ireland between 1873 and 1876 because of childrens' birth places.

Dea, Arthur Patrick was born 23 Feb 1873 in Ireland. Siblings were Julia, John Joseph,Leonora, Maria, Josephine and Oswald. Mother was Hannah Hennessy.

Erin, That is the 1881 family. Surnames were transcribed differently in 1881, 1891 and 1901 censuses !! Thanks .. I had found a record for Arthur Patrick's christening on-line.

I really am looking for information about John Joseph O'Brien Sr in Ireland, maybe birth or marriage or parents names or interesting info..

Thanks again, everyone.... My friend John will be on here soon when is account is active. Thanks on his behalf.

I am helping my friend John O'Brien to research his family tree. John Joseph was a master mariner, living in Liverpool in 1881, 1891 and 1901. His son, Arthur Patrick was my friend's grandfather. I am looking for information on descendants of John Joseph and maybe his parents details.
Thanks,
Clive
