Thomas Kingsmill was my Gx4 Grandfather and was born Swingfield, Kent in October 1769. He married Mary but the only marriage I can find recorded (none so far anywhere in Kent) was the one you have in Marylebone in 1803 to a Mary Gilham. I know that Gilhams lived in the neighbourhood that Thomas worked near Chilham in Kent so feel there is a strong chance that this is their marriage. In fact a Thomas Gilham was a landowner in Chilham (tithe records 1851) where Thomas Kingsmill was a tenant farmer in 1851.
Thomas & Mary Kingsmill have a son also Thomas, who was baptised in Elham in Kent 30th October 1808.

Thanks very much - i will keep trying. I have the details you have kindly found and think he married Mary Dinnen (as opposed to Gilham who appears to be connected to the Kent branch) I am guessing he was about 25 when married putting his d.o.b around 1780, but no record online anywhere and sadly as I don't know where he was born - assume London but ?? which of the many Parishes - so cannot search church records either!

Thanks again for all your kind suggestions,
Katie

There is this marriage on Ancestry parish records:

Thomas Kingsmill
Spouse Name: Mary Gilliam
Record Type: Marriage
Event Date: 4 Jun 1803
Parish: St Marylebone
County: Middlesex
Borough: Westminster

Source Citation: London Metropolitan Archives, Saint Marylebone, Register of marriages, P89/MRY1, Item 179

Her name looks more like GILHAM on the image.

Witnesses don't help - they witnessed most of the other marriages on the page as well so presume they worked at the church.

Hi,
I am trying to find the father of Thomas Kingsmill (my GGG Grandfather born in 1806 in St Giles, London.) I know his father's name was also Thomas and that he married Mary ? Dinnen around 1805, but thats as far as I have got?

Does anyone else have him in their tree and know any more than this?

Thanks in advance,

Katie
