Solomon Beesley (abt 1816 - 18 Oct 1868, Short Heath, Staffordshire, England) married Emma Lowbridge on 30 March 1843.

They had two sons, Thomas Solomon Beesley (abt 1846, Willenhall) and Absalom Charles Beesley (1848 - 1878, Willenhall). The eldest son married Ellen Thacker and they moved with their family to Yorkshire sometime in the 1870s. The youngest married Martha Parker but had no children, as far as I am aware, before he died.

I don't have much information on Emma Lowbridge, except that she also went by her mother's married surname, Parker. Her mother was Sarah, born abt 1794 in Walsall. Sarah ran the "Rose & Thistle" public house on Regent Street in Pleck, Walsall, in the mid 1800s.

Solomon was a master locksmith and born to Joseph Beesley (abt 1794 - 1870, Willenhall), also a master locksmith, and his wife Amy nee Duncomb (abt 1795 - 1873, Willenhall).

Solomon was the eldest of eight siblings, with the boys becoming locksmiths and the girls marrying locksmiths.

Emma died in the 1850s.

I can provide much more information, if you still have an interest.

Thanks Julie

I wonder if the name should be Lowbridge?I was born in Short Heath but havent lived up there fof 50 years and I remember Lowbridge being a local name.Is he down as a widower or is she perhaps staying with a relative?Thank you for all your help so far.
