Elaine, I don't know where you live but if you can manage to visit the Mitchell Library in Glasgow, they hold the Poor Relief Records. These can be very usueful when tracing Irish ancestors who cam to Glasgow. They often give more information than can be found elsewhere. Do remember that often people claimed because they needed hospital treatment and were no longer able to work. For example the family maybe have had to make a claim in 1907 when Robert died. Hope this helps and good luck with your research. |

Thank you all for your replies and input...Lizzie Ohara's mother is definately Annabelle McKibben as I could see that on Lizzie's marriage certificate ..Thank you Maura, I can now add siblings to my great grandmother's side. |

Now that does look good Eringobragh! I do think that the mother was probably Anaabelle give that the son Robert seems to have named his daughter Annabelle. |

I think we have two different O'Hara families. Here are the ones that Eringobragh has found on the IGI. They are living in Belfast in 1901. |

This looks like her brother Robert living with her married sister Agnes in 1901. Could the parents have died or returned to Ireland? Have you looked on Scotlandspeople for possible deaths for them? Agnes's marriage certificate should say if they are deceased. On here it doesn't say if Robert (Junior) is a widower but that looks like his child Annabelle? |

I have drawn a blank finding information about my great grandmother Lizzie O'Hara who was born in Belfast c1873 to Robert O'Hara and Annabelle (?) . At some point they moved to Glasgow where Lizzie married my great grandfather, John Cruickshank, on 25/8/1891 |
