Gillespie/McKinlay connection

Hello, I am on a search for my Grandmothers siblings. Janet Gillespie (nee McKinlay )1877-1914 was my Nan's mother. Janet married William Gillespie 1906 Lochgelly.

Isabella Stenhouse Gillespie was born 11 Nov 1914 at 41 Aitken Place Leven, Fife, Scotland. She was number 13. Janet died a couple of weeks after her birth (28th Nov 14)

Isabella was then adopted by Janet's brother (Peter Chalmers McKinlay) who then emigrated to New Zealand. She became a McKinlay after that.

I do have nine names (Maggie 1897, Matthew 1898, Elspeth 1900, Peter 1901, Janet 1903, Mary 1905, Elizabeth 1907, Agnes 1908, Wilhimina 1910) But i understand there were 12 of them. And that Mum and Dad married long after they had started a family

Does anyone have these people in your family tree? Are there living descendants?

You could do with viewing the 1911 census and maybe seaching Scotlands People for births after 1911 to 1914

Hi all thank you for your replies. I have just made contact with a second cousin!

Its all very exciting and emotional when you are tracking a branch of your tree that has been shrouded in secrecy for far too many years.

The saga surrounding it would make Coronation street look lame!!
