Two other Alexander MacDonalds were born in Kiltarlity in 1840, in March and May, but the November one above is more likely to have his YOB as 1841 on censuses.
There was also an Alexander McDonald born Kiltarlity in August 1842.

Actually, I'm not at all sure about that. It's the only marriage on SP with the right names -
BUT Alexander's sister Ann was born c1827, and Margaret (listed in 1841 census above) was born 1820.

Had a look at the marriage certificate. You're spot on ArgyllGran with Alexander's parents. Father Alexander was a Mason. Both parents deceased.

Ann's parents were John Munro, Mason and Ann Munro ms Munro (deceased). Both witnesses were named Donald Munro (very helpful!).

Alexander's abode is only given as Inverness and Ann's Alness.

Alexander aged 24 and Annie 26.

Possibly Annie's birth, in that case - although a few years out from the marriage cert:
