Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 15 Send Message	ok tonights search hits a brick wall George Skinner Born c1933 Died 2006 (edited typo) Married 1960 Harriet Agnus Mitchell stayed in Glasgow shettleston area for many years, I believe the Mum's name was skinner and George never had his Dads name. where can I go from here as the line stops at George and cant seem to progress further in my search?

	The marriage cert will also tell you his parents' names - or at least his mother's if he was illegitimate.

	Assuming he was born in Scotland, he'll be one of these two - possibly the first one, just because of the Glasgow connection. There are other George Skinners born about the same time, but they all have additional forenames. SKINNER GEORGE M 1932 644/6 1451 Springburn SKINNER GEORGE M 1933 424/ 523 Dunfermline

	He seems to have also used the surname Finlayson when he married.

	He died, aged 73 in 2006. His death is registered in Glasgow. EDIT I see Kay has now edited her post to add his death.
