The 1914–15 Star is a campaign medal of the British Empire which was awarded to officers and men of British and Imperial forces who served in any theatre of the First World War against the Central European Powers during 1914 and 1915.J

Hi can you help please John William Twelvetree was born in Sheffield 1886 to James w Twelvetree and Lucy Cade.he was married to Elizabeth Hill who died in 1914 giving birth.John then joined Tht Royal Field Artillary on the 1st of Feb 1915 and was discharged on 14th of December 1918 and did not re marry.he was awarded the 1915 Star,Victory and British Medal.can any one tell me please what these medals was for thank you
