Member Since: August 2005 Posts: 14 Send Message	Hi , I am seeking information about two Eleanor Ord's. 1) Eleanor Ord , b c 1863 , of Glaisdale , Yorkshire . Parents Were John Ord of Gibside , Co Dur., and Elizabeth Langstaff Ord of Ovingham, Co Dur, .and an Eleanor Ord who died in York c 1803. Or are these one and the same Eleanor ? Can anyone out there shed any light on these two Eleanors?

	If the dates you give are accurate, the death preceded the birth by 60 years, so they can’t be the same woman

	The baptism and the funeral of Eleanor Ord born 29th June 1803 are on the same image from the parish registers. Kath. x

	Do you have John and Elizabeth Ord on any census with daughter Eleanor? How do you know that John and Elizabeth were Eleanor's parents if you don't have her birth certificate? Kath. x

	The christening in Ingleby Arncliffe is a different person to the one who died in 1803 as that one was buried on July 16th 1803. Kath. x

	That's the only likely Eleanor that I found born c.1863 but the parents are John and Emily and the birth year is given as 1864 and baptism 1865. Parents NOT John and Elizabeth as Robert has stated. Kath. x

Durham , My apologies for the long delay in replying . This was due to a serious health problem which took precedent over genealogy. However , now recovered , I will be around for at least another 5 years , and I am just beginning to pick up the threads ( no pun intended) of where I left off. Many thanks for your responses .
