Find Ancestors

Hi .
I am looking for mother and any more info of ancestors of Edith Amelia Ann Cook b1891 Deptford Greenwich. I have her marriage to John Augustus Foot in 1913 showing her father as Thomas Cook deceased. I checked on GRO for MMN but it is blank. There is a private tree on Ancestry but he is not responding to my request for help. Hope you can help me please.

If it’s blank then that one was illegitimate

Sometimes a fathers name is given and as deceased to save face on a marriage certificate

That must be her as the names match
