Only posting because of the name and year of birth - no idea if relevant or not.

As Robin’s birth shows MMN Dare, that is certainly the case

You said she was an aunt so trying to work back - is this your parents marriage?

EDIT - whoops - you didn't say an aunt

greyghost Report 28 Aug 2019 17:04

welcome to the boards

Middlesex South is the RD that covered Twickenham in 1960

Only Thorne whose death registered there in 1960 was 17 years of age and no Queenies

There are numerous deaths with age c 50 +/- 5 years in the RD within Q1 - a Nora, Ellen E, Jeanie D, Beatrice F, Dorothy, Grace E, Helen, Monica A, Janet M, Doris, Gladys M, May L, Ivy M, Annie E, Grace I R, Anne J, Elizabeth, Rhoda M. Registration could have been delayed or possibly registered in another district (in hospital, visiting etc)

Was Queenie her actual name - often a 'nickname"

How are you so sure of a death date if you know so little else about her?

The only Queenie Thorne I can find on GRO was born 1910 in Gloucestershire and her mothers maiden name was Oliver. Could this be your lady?

I have an ancestor who has always stood out as not of the fold and having checked the obvious I wonder if anyone could help me please. The only info I have apart from photos is Queenie Thorne born abt 1912 and died 3rd March 1960 in Twickenham. Some one a long time ago found out about the death but there is nothing on Genes that I can trace.
I was born myself in 1931 but due to the usual older relatives falling out I never saw Queenie.
Thank you Robin Thorne ;-) ;-)
