St Mary (where William was born) is part of Shrewsbury.

Clive, where the baptism posted by Rose took place, is about 7 or 8 miles north of Shrewsbury.

Doesn't rule it out, necessarily.

[ EDIT: But St Mary is the whole parish name. There were lots of villages within that. See end of post at 11:39. ]

Possibility for parents' marriage ??? (In which case, the baptism Rose posted wouldn't be the right one - different mother)

1891 says Higher Heath Prees, which is roughly 3 or 4 miles north of Clive, and just south of Whitchurch.

Susannah and Hannah could be the same person.

Or a mistranscription.

Richard and Ann's eldest daughter in 1851 census is called Hannah.
