I wonder if anyone could give me some advice .

I am looking at the marriage of Thomas Broomhead to Agnes LOWE

I had dismissed this but i have found that 44 other trees on ancestry have this as Thomas Broomhead marrying Agnes LOWE

I have messaged several of them as to why they have come to this outcome but no reply ..

I can see there is an Alice Lowe as a witness and wonder if there is some confusion over this.

I cant find a marriage for Thomas Broomhead and Agnes Lowe

I have been informed by someone who has done research on the Broomhead family that Agnes Lowe was born 1768 to Thomas Lowe and Jane Collinson although they could not give me any point of reference.

for what its worth i think the marriage posted by alviegal above for agnes lowe to james barker and her subsequent marriage barker to broomhead clears this up

Today, we would say the year was 1740, but back then, they didn't have new year on Jan 1sr, but some time in March, so they said Jan 3 was still 1739
