I have traced my Grandfather Herbert Henry Addis Woodcock born in Tesdale Durham in 1869 on the 1901 Census.
Cant find how he got to Malta He is on my Birth Certificiate in 1939 as a chemist and he is burried in TBraxa Cemetry Malta late in 1939.
Cant find details of Marriage to Mary Ann wilson and my mother was born in Floriana Malta on 22nd Jan 1912.
I have just hit a brick wall! Seems to be untraceable after that 1912 Census

Please can anyone tell me where to go from here? Monica Parnham nee Bellanti

Looks like he was still in the UK in 1907 but by the time his father died in 1909 he was in Malta,

Ida Woodcock born Malta 1912, presumably Monica's mother. I think that Monica means Herbert is on her mother's birth cert not her own?

There is an unconnected query on another site regarding marriages in Floriana, no answer was given so I suspect you will have to try and acquire the services of a genealogist in Malta to look on your behalf for marriage?

Monica refers to her own birth in 1939. Perhaps Maltese birth certs include such info

Yes maybe so Erika.

I can't find much on genealogists in Malta but these might be of help
