Hello. I found an old family address book with the name Imelda Christie, Curkeen Hill, Skerries, Dublin. Our family name is Christie so she is a member of our family. Not sure if she was born a Christie or married into the family.
I have no idea how old this address book is. It belonged to my husband's father who died many years ago. I have searched everything and everyone I know also most of the ancestry sites, can't find a thing. Anyone suggest anything? Thanks.

Thanks all for your help. It looks like Imelda is her middle name as no one can find a first named Imelda but lots of information there to keep me busy. Imelda Christie is officially scrambling my head. . Thanks again. x :-) :-D

Can you give us an idea of the timeframe, please?

For instance, when did your husband's father die?

Maureen

Maureen Report 9 Feb 2020 23:49

Hi. My husband's father died in 2003 but I have no idea when Imelda's address was added to the book. As far as we are aware he never spoke of any Irish connection but of course there must be somewhere. She mattered enough to be in his address book, mmmm, strange. :-)
