on your other thread you said you had already researched all the info given there.

Does that mean you had bought a copy of the 1872 death to check the details, ?

I would have thought it unlikely that the death shown for Elizabeth Walker on the other thread is the correct one.

Lancsbmd gives the sub-district as Broughton whereas they were living in 1871 in central Preston so I would have thought not in the Broughton area workhouse

It's also possible that John wasn't actually a widower when he re-married.
