Stuck. I can not locate this family on the 1861 census. Should probably include - Thomas Grimshaw Parkinson born 1833 Liverpool Cabinet Maker. Ellen Parkinson born abt 1834 Liverpool. George Grimshaw Parkinson born 1855 Liverpool, Thomas Parkinson born abt 1858 Liverpool, Ellen Parkinson born abt 1860 Liverpool. By 1871 they are living 27 Albert Street, West Derby, Liverpool. In 1851 Thomas is with his parents at 20 Sidney Street East, Liverpool. Not sure about Ellen in 1851 yet. Search different individuals, name variations etc.. on both ancestry and FMP. Any ideas welcome to move forwards if possible.

This would imply they are still in Green Lane in 1861. Will try again looking for Green Lane. Thanks

You said,
"Found St Columba on 1861 census and searched for Green Lane by looking on each page but no Green Lane."

When you're searching the St Columba area in 1861, be aware that there are several different collections of pages to look through - at least on Ancestry. I don't know how things are arranged on FMP.

EDIT:
In the 1861 census, Green Lane (or at least part of it) comes under District 44f in West Derby.

I've checked the streets near Green Lane on the Google map of Liverpool, and they are also included in this district, so I know it's the correct one.

Unfortunately the houses on Green Lane are not numbered.
I don't see any Parkinsons .

Other bits of Green Lane must be in other districts, which I haven't hunted for yet.

ADDED:
Sorry, the above isn't very useful after all!

10 Green Lane is at the northern end of the very long Green Lane.

District 44F only covers part of the southern end
