Hi.Looking for Allison family who are recorded in Richmond,Yorks. in 1841 Census
James,50, Wife,Mary,40 and children,Ann,20 Elizabeth,10,Thomas,8,Mary Ann,1 and Joseph,1.
Have been unable to find family after that?

Please confirm that you have looked for deaths and marriages

BTW, 1841 does not record relationships, so, unless you have other proof, you can't assume that the children belong to James, or that Mary is his wife.

Also, ages of over-15's were rounded down to the nearest '5'

How did you work back to them if you haven't found them in later years?

Is this the birth registration of the youngest child on the record?

I knew of a Marriage of Thomas Allison(b.Richmond,Yorks.) to Elizabeth Liddle c.1858 in Co.Durham and the family moved to America.Elizabeth was the daughter of my G.G.G'Father.That was why I tried to search for the Allison Family out of interest.

Have you any definitive reason to think the Thomas who married Liddle is the one on 1841 census? Info from marriage cert, for instance?

Certainly his age matches the one in 1841, and 1861 says he was born in Richmond.
