I have a John, Thomas. Bertha., Doreen and Catherine Duff GRO MMN Kelly
I have a marriage for Thomas Duff and Ellen Kelly 1916 Manchester Register Office I'm trying to find Thomas And Ellen before they got married
I've got 1911 census but not convinced Ellen Kelly Daughter aged 14 born 1897 Manchester ,
Ellen Kelly aged 49 born Manchester Head ( mother)
Michael Kallicher 28 son Manchester GRO MMN Gunning ??

Not sure if it's right it's thrown me with the surname of the son and trying to find him the names seems to change at times
with it being a register office wedding I've got nothing else

This is the Ellen (mother) in the 1911 census you found:

Though I don't yet see a later marriage to a Kelly.

The info available is insufficient to identify these people prior to the marriage.

The fact that they married in Manchester has no bearing on where they were born

As I said on your other thread, you'll need to buy the cert

There is no birth on the GRO to fit Thomas's DoB info

It isn't necessarily accurate to say they married in the Register Office. Look at the actual wording on Lancs BMD.

They probably married in a Catholic Church, in view of their names

Sorry just tried to order certificate getting in a mess asking for date -only got year asking for GRO number is that the same as what I can see on Lancashire BMD
Lancashire says £11 GRO £14? not ordered a certificate for years

Sorted computer must have been plating up it's ordered

If that 1939 date is correct for Ellen , there were only 3 Ellens born in Dec qtr 1897 - in Whitehaven, Leeds and Gateshead
