Hi
The familysearch website has a marriage for a George Moulding + Mary Needham 1/7/1812 in Nottingham and I can see that FMP also have this marriage in 1812 on their records. I suspect that the groom was a soldier andI am wondering if there was anything on the actual marriage image that could verify this so if SKS could post the details of this marriage that would be great.
TIA
Tiggit

Were children born in that marriage?

A baptism record might show the father's occupation.

Yes, he was a Private in the 15th Dragoons in 1813 on their child's baptism record, if I have the right parents. I was just looking for cofirmation that I had the right parents as the baptism was in Berkshire which is quite a distance from Nottingham

May be Banns for the marriage might give more clues about his job or location?

Not far from here, I have viewed parish records which cover military camps.

It is not unusual to see a local baptism, with father shown as military personnel and an address in quite a different part of the country.

Do later census show birthplaces for George or Mary?
