Thank you Argyll. I've just discovered their daughter's whereabouts (USA) which is very exciting and now collecting all the info, and why I've taken so long to come back to this thread. Thank you again. Sad that William is in the workhouse. |

There are 14 pages of names (patients, staff, inmates, etc) on the original document for Howbeck House in 1939 - not just those in the transcription above. |

In 1939 Howbeck House was a hospital rather than a workhouse (although it had initially been a workhouse). My grandmother died there in 1931 and I was born there myself in 1948. Parts of it are still there today and it is part of Hartlepool General Hospital. |

When I was a youngster (about 7 or 8) my sister was a nurse at Hartlepool General and they always had what they called a garden party in the summer - I'd call it a summer fayre these days. The nurses and doctors laid on all sorts of stalls and games with prizes. It was a popular event in the town. |

Hello, William and Florence's daughter Norah married Benjamin Spriggs and they emigrated to America and settled in Black Hawk/Waterloo, Iowa. I have all the US census including the 1950 - 421 Vine Street, Waterloo as follows - but mistranscribed as Norali S should be Norah Louisa - |

Hello, could someone post the 1921 census for the above, they will be at Durham Street, Hartlepool. James (Amos) born 1870, Florence born 1879 and Norah born 1899. They are listed under Fuller but Florence should be McSloy and Norah should be Spriggs. Thank you. |

Thank you for the above Erika, does the original show them as Fuller or their correct surnames? |
