I was thinking how a teacher would cope, with so many Emilys’ in the class :-D

Of course, William maybe an invention.

Emily gave her address as 6 Mape Street, and her hubby gave his as 12 Mape Street

I've just ploughed through the 1851 images for the street and neither of them appears to be living there at that time

Surnames…
Ball, Bell, Bill and Bull. Most of which seem to have an Emily born in Islington around the same time.

Just to add to the problem, I found an Esther Ball, born about the right time but to William, a labourer, and Lucy. Lucy may have died in 1837

The 'tree' on Ancestry which refers to Hannah nee Marryot is total rubbish. The 1851 census they've added shows William's wife to be MARY......and he's a TAILOR.

There is a daughter Emily, admittedly, but she is 23 years of age..................

How did you find out that the father was born c1795?

Having looked at the image of 1851 posted above, I think the surname may actually be BELL.......any thoughts, anyone?

Hi, yes I have looked for her on the 1941 census and her father after that date, But I will look again. The witness to her marriage was an Esther Ball.

Where have you looked?

Have you found her on a census prior to her marriage?

Who witnessed the marriage?

Hi, Could anybody help me please?

I am trying to find the mother of Emily Ball. Her father was William Ball b1795 a Bricklayer.
She married Alfred Richard Jenkins 1834 - 1909 in 1855 in Bethnal Green.
I have looked on Public Trees and they state her mother was Hannah Marryot b1796. As I have not able to prove this or seen any documents relating to her Mother I do not want to just take this as gospel!

Thank you for your help
