Death Certificate 1967 in Croydon

Does anyone know how I can purchase a death certificate between 1957 & 1984 in England they are missing on the Free BMD Records?

Have you checked the probate records to see if you can narrow down the date of death.?
The death may not have been registered in Croydon, have you widened your search to Surrey?

There are 3823 deaths registered in Croydon in 1967 on FreeBMD:

Find the one you want, then use the details to order online at GRO:

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/app_select.asp

Even though you can't search for a 1958-83 death on the GRO website, you can still order the cert if you already have the details. After you've logged in, go to "Place an order" in right-hand menu.

I have the details of her death 16 December 1967 at Croydon 5A/828 but a can't order it because there is nothing at Online Ordering Service between 1957 / 1984 at Croydon.

“ online ordering service” ? Where did you get the 5A/828 reference from?
You need to go the the GRO direct, not use an intermediatery, or did you mean the GRO.


If all else fails you can order it from Croydon but you can’t use the 5A/828 reference as they use a different one.
