Find Ancestors

Hello,

I am trying to trace the ancestors of Jane Hewson I know she was born in Gayton Le Wold in about 1863,
She married Joseph Sands in 1882,and died in 1918

Her Father's name was Henry Hewson,but that is all I know about her parents,
I have searched online but am unable to definitively name her mother or find where her father was born

Any help would be appreciated

What was her father's occupation?

There is also a marriage in 1861 in Louth of a Henry to Ann Chatterton.

There are several trees on Ancestry that have Henry and Sarah but none show Jane.
They have Henry born c1834 in North Thoresby , parents John Hewson and Eliza Mumby.
That would fit with the census that ErikaH posted.

I have no idea of her Fathers occupation,I only have his name on the Marriage Certificate.

The person who shared that with me is only doing the male side,so researching Joseph Sands who she married.

I have found several Hewsons on Ancestry but am not able to say with any certainty they are Jane's Parents.

She is the only one in my Tree currently I have no ancestors for,others I have been able to find eventually

Ask the person who shared the marriage cert info if her father is ‘deceased’. Also, his occupation…….it should be on the cert.

The names of the witnesses may also prove helpful
