Hi all,

I posted a while ago seeking help to find info on my great grandmother Winifred Kathleen wynn born 1895 can't find birth entry or mother.

Winifreds father stated on marriage cert as William Wynn ( deceased in 1926}

Soooo I had an ancestry DNA test and my results came back today.

I've been linked with a man who is apparently my 5th-8th cousin who has some Wynn's in his tree...

He has Watkin Williams Wynn born 1771-1832 born Glamorgan Wales married to Catherine miles 1801

They had 11 children

5th to 8th cousin covers huge range. Anything less than 4th or about 30 cms is regarded as too unreliable.
Descendants of your great grandmother would be 2nd to 3rd cousins.

You need to work on trees for all those children to see if one of them comes down to Winifred.

We have looked at this before because records are coming up ticked which means have previously looked at it !

Yes I've been looking and so have other kind people for ages, thought I'd find something in my DNA but seems I'm still stuck
