JAMES BARR Seeking any information about James Barr who lived at 34 St Lawrence St Greenock in 1896 He had an illegitimate son (my father) born 1896 Port Glasgow, Christina later married Joseph Hutton in 1898, in 1901 my father was listed as James Hutton, Christina died in 1914, Port Glasgow, father then must have adopted name of Barr (why?) I did not know any of these facts until researching my paternal line and would love to know if there are any relations on either side McCulloch or Barr I now live in Essex so it is difficult to do any Scottish research, can anyone help? |
