SHOWN AS KENNETH MANNING ON 1881 & 91 CENSUS, AS ADOPTED SON OF THOMAS AND HELEN MCCARTHUR. LIVING IN GLASGOW AND ON 1901 CENSUS LIVING STILL IN GLASGOW WITH A "COUSIN" MALCOLM MCCARTHUR. KENNETH WAS MY GREAT GRANDFATHER AND SERVED IN WW1 HAVING JOINED HLI IN BRIDGETON, GLASGOW IN 1908. THOMAS MCCARTHER WAS A DETECTIVE OFFICER DURING THIS PERIOD.
