My name is Phil Batman, living in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, born in York in 1953. I am descended from a Batman family who lived in Copmanthorpe near York from at least as far back as 1600 until the late 1800s when most of the family moved into York. I have details of many of the family going back until 1600. If this is of any interest to anybody, I would be delighted to hear from you!

Hi Phil
My husband's side of the family is related by marriage to a William Batman and Maria Mobbs.William was born about 1765 and his parents are Thomas Batman and Mary Jarum.William was sent to Australia as a convict in 1797 are these two from your side?????
