Desperately seeking any information about Maria Ann Barnett, my great-grandma. She married William Siggs (b. 1878 in Lewes Sussex, had been on 1901 census as a bombadier) in around 1903. They had one child - William Everard Siggs on the 17th October 1904. She may have been born in 1877. A Maria Barnett (born Tinsley Park) appears on the 1881 census, the child of George Barnett, a coachman (b. about 1851, Lincs Twey Moor) and Mary Ann Dennis (b about 1853, Lincs Alford). She had a brother John (b. about 1873 at Newbould) and a sister Betsy (b about 1880 at Newton Trent). The 1901 census shows that George and Mary Ann had one more child - Ellen (b Retford in 1888). Does anyone know if this is the same person? Kate |
