RE: HARVEY CONNECTIONS IN BEECHWORTH OR STANLEY, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA. I am trying to trace the line of my paternal great-grandmother - MARY JULIA THOM (nee HARVEY) from the late 1800's - the daughter of JOHN HARVEY (Miner of Stanley, Victoria, Australia) and SOPHIA HARVEY (nee SMITH). My grandmother MARY was born in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. She married my great-grandfather HUGH THOM (Mounted Police Constable) in Last Street, Beechworth according to the rites of the Independent Church and gave birth to my paternal grandfather, HUGH WALTER THOM in Beechworth in the 1880's. I have details of my paternal line THOM, however I would love to connect further to my HARVEY & SMITH lines. Can anyone help? Regards - Jennifer
