Trying to find any information on my grandmother Frances Sanderson, who later became Frances Moffat. Frances was born 1895 to William and Bridget Sanderson. The 1931 census records show that she was living at 3 Rowells place in Carlisle. Frances had a brother William (b 1982), sisters Margaret & Nellie (b 1894) and sister Catherine (b 1898). Frances had a daughter Gwenith who was born in 1931 who was subsequently put up for adoption. At the time of her daughter's birth, Frances was living at 257 Warwick Road, Carlisle. Gwenith was adopted by a family in Nelson, Lancashire. I cannot find any record of Frances marrying anyone named Moffat and neither can I find any death records either. If anyone has any information at all, however small, on Frances or her brother & sisters please contact. Many thanks. |

Well she might have changed her surname when she was adopted so would not be Moffat when she married. |
