Hello Christine

Just found your message from October 2006 re Bondins from Malta. My sister's in-laws originated from Sliema. She (Patricia) married Francis Bondin in England in 1949 and I know he had two sisters called Carmen and Emily but I believe there were other siblings. Their father's name was Joseph but I can't remember the mother's name. I think Carmen married Joe an English serviceman (sailor?) and they lived in England for a while. Some of the family emigrated to Australia in 50's/60's. My nephew now lives in Sydney.

As Bondin is quite an unusual name it may be possible that we are tracing the same tree.

I know the info I have given is very vague but if any of these names have any connection with your tree I would be pleased to hear from you. I will try and recall other names/places but I am sure my nephew would be happy to fill in any gaps that he can.

Please let me have your thoughts on whether we are tracing the same line. Could you please let me know either way. Thank you.

Regards

Veronica
